The University continues to make plans to cut its budget next year. Faculties are planning to cut between 6-7.5% of their expenses by reducing the number of students that enter, cutting courses, increasing class sizes, and closing programs. The University received a $14 million supplement from the government last month, which reduces the cut to the overall University to $29 million.

Administration is proposing to increase tuition by 1% and international student tuition by 5%. Students concerned with tuition increases are encouraged to watch the Board of Governors meeting from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday December 13.
